Warranty & Aftercare
A cargo bike or children’s bike is something you should be able to enjoy with confidence long after the day you take it home. If something isn’t right, Hunter Cycles is here to help you understand what happens next.
Manufacturer Warranties
New cargo bikes, children’s bikes, components and accessories may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty periods and coverage vary between brands and products, so the terms that apply will depend on the item you’ve purchased. Where applicable, we can help you understand the warranty provided by the manufacturer and support you through the warranty process.
If Something Goes Wrong
If you think there may be a fault with something you’ve purchased from Hunter Cycles, please get in touch with us first.
It’s helpful to include:
- Your name and order number
- The product or cargo bike / children’s bike model
- A description of the problem
- Photographs or videos where relevant
We may ask you to bring the product into our Battersea shop so that we can inspect it properly.
Refurbished Bicycles
Our refurbished bicycles are individually inspected and prepared before being offered for sale.
As pre-owned products, they may show signs of previous use, age or cosmetic wear. Any significant known characteristics will be described as clearly as reasonably possible when the bicycle is sold.
Your statutory consumer rights still apply when purchasing a refurbished bicycle.
Wear & Tear
Manufacturer warranties do not generally cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from misuse, accidents, neglect or a lack of appropriate maintenance.
Items such as tyres, brake pads, chains and other components naturally wear through use and may need replacing as part of normal maintenance.
The exact exclusions will depend on the warranty terms supplied by the relevant manufacturer.
Looking After Your Cargo Bike or Children’s Bike
Regular maintenance helps keep your cargo bike or children’s bike safe, reliable and enjoyable to use.
Our Battersea workshop provides servicing, maintenance and repairs, so you can bring your cargo bike or children’s bike back to us when it needs some care.
Your Consumer Rights
A manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them.
If goods supplied by Hunter Cycles are faulty, not as described or do not meet the standards required by UK consumer law, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.
Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
